Today's email tip was :

"Research shows when kids are taught and study in ways that match their particular learning style, they learn faster and are much happier."
(The Parenting Place)

anyone know how to find your child's learning style? I know I did a questionnaire once - is the same thing for kids?

Ps if you don't get the tips they are really worth signing up to. I think you automatically sign up for Dadtalk for the first time http://www.dadtalk.co.uk/my-dadtalk/registers OR you can select them within your personal profile via the 'newsletter subscriptions' tab http://www.dadtalk.co.uk/registration/user-profile

I love em

Hi Ronaldo.
I echo your question because I don't know how to discover a child's learning style.
Also, I would be interested how young it is possible to get a rough idea of a child's learning style.

I'll have to get back on to you all on this one, I think there is some kind of online test ... Trained teacher here, so know a little bit about learning styles.

If you know roughly how your child learns best, use language that will help them: can you see this? how does this feel ? ...

Will post back when I find a test plus any additional info!!

Found this site ... It seems to have a load of information about learning styles and multiple intelligences.

Hope it's what you were looking for!

Guys - I just came across this site
http://www.bgfl.org/bgfl/custom/resourc ... /index.htm

You can put your childs age in (under 11 is the lowest it goes). I just did it with a 9 year old, and I think it did a pretty good job! It also prints a nice pretty graph for them which obviously appeals to the visual/spatial intelligence!

I'd say your child has to be able to do a a level of self reflection so might need a bit of help, but i had to be careful not to influence their answers.....

Nice tool and at 40 questions pretty quick to complete.
