Why did they not at least drop to 22 weeks for the abortion limit?

My wife & child were rushed to hospital at 23 weeks pregnent with complications. We had some heavy discussions around what to do (if the child arrived should they try and help it live or not?)

How can you then even consider thinking abortion is okay at 24 weeks????

Hi there,

I guess that nothing will change until poeple reconsider when does life really start. I was suprised they didn't pass the changes. It's a tragic day for the unborn. Am I being too radical for believing that life is precious and just because you can't see it that it's noy really life?

rolyat, I'm with you, once a life has been formed I struggle to see how anyone should have the right to terminate it!

What happens if the girl has been raped? It's not necessarily the sort of thing that they know about straight away...

have to say that when it comes to abortion i watched a film at 16 called the silent scream and made my mind up at that point on what is a very difficult subject. I realsied i needed to make a call and that it wasn't a sit on te fence type subject. I chose to sit pro life and thats where you'll find me. Rape etc are awful and i can't imagine it at all, but life is life. 24 weeks is wrong - period.
