All men can cook! And don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Here are some favourite fun recipes

Introduction

ALL MEN CAN COOK - and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. All men CAN also clear up after cooking - although this takes a substantial amount of willpower... but you can do it!

Whether you are a masterchef whizz or never touched a wooden spoon in your life, here are our top tips for following recipes:

  1. Read the recipe! Not hard, but from experience, well worth doing before you begin.
  2. Start with a clean kitchen (space to work in) and aim to end with a clean kitchen (good for brownie points).
  3. Be prepared to make mistakes - and learn from them. Don’t give up.
  4. Focus on the task - while women claim to have mastered multi-tasking we sometimes find this difficult.
  5. Try to plan in advance - read the recipe, buy in the ingredients, set aside time to prepare and cook the food.
  6. Involve the kids! Either learn together or teach them all you know - either way have fun with them, make it a weekly event ‘cooking with dad’ & show them it can be done!
  7. The pictures are for ‘illustration’ purposes only but we hope they inspire you! Don’t worry if the finished product doesn’t look exactly like the picture, although it should bear some resemblance!
