Public Humiliation – The finishing

So I am drawing to the end of my Slendertone trial.

As any working parent will tell you, finding time for exercise is tough. You get up, you get the kids up, you take them to school or go you to work and before you know it the clock says 7pm and the only thing you can think about is what to watch on TV. If at this point in your day someone were to suggest exercise then a violent reaction is likely. Bringing exercise into to a finely balanced life is difficult as there are other people in the family that need to be considered.

I did find it was easy to fit into my life and I quickly became a big fan of the fact that I could use the Slendertone while I worked or watched TV. It has also had the odd side effect of making me think a little bit more about what I eat. I have found that life as a parent is very driven by routine, in particular the kids routine. The kids eat early at 5pm and so because I work at home a great deal this means that I eat early as well. Consequently buy 9pm I am HUNGRY! What do you do when you are hungry at the time of night? You snack. So I am now on a mission to cut out the snacking.

The big question is does it work? Has my gut shrunk?

First of all let me say that the Slendertone cannot change your eating habits, and for me that is what needs changing. So in my first week of slendertoning I found myself eating cheese and drinking beer while the slendertone was buzzing me. I did wonder if I had missed the point a little.

However, I can definitely feel it made a difference to my muscles and is beginning to shrink my gut a little. If I were to do some running and eat a little less the results would be considerably more. So I think I am going to try another month with a bit of exercise thrown in as well
