Social Experiment!

Is it just me or does half term often leave you hit for six? As the boys are growing, so is the amount of energy they seem to have to use up on a daily basis. I’m not sure how much longer I can keep up with their insatiable craving for movement!  Therefore I tried a social experiment out over three days to see if I could physically exhaust them.

Title of Experiment – Effects of 3 days activities on two boys, ages 6 and 7.

Hypothesis – It is not possible to make 2 boys aged 6 and 7 tired over 3 days. This experiment will take place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoons over half term week.

Materials – 2 boys aged 6 and 7, a parent or two, a grandma, Kids World, a bike ride, a shopping trip to a large retail centre.

Method – Take 2 boys to Kids World for 2 hours on Thursday afternoon. Take same 2 boys on a 3-mile bike ride on Friday afternoon. Take same 2 boys shopping in Milton Keynes for 4 hours on Saturday afternoon.

Results – The boys remained energetic, bouncy, coherent, and focused throughout the experiment. With the only exception being that the 6 year old fell asleep in the car for 20 minutes after the shopping trip.

Conclusion – It is possible to exhaust a 6-year-old but not possible to exhaust a 7-year-old during half-term. It is however, possible to exhaust 2 parents and a grandma!

...Oh, and also, who else was up at 5.15am on Sunday morning thanks to the flippin' clocks going back?
