Just Call Me Agent Zee

The clock struck 3 and our house came alive with screams of excitement as seven little boys had descended on our house for Harvey’s 6^th Birthday Party.

Every year we go through the dilemma of choosing a theme for the party. Over the years we’ve had Sponge Bob, Spiderman, Superheroes, Spacemen and Toy Story to name but a few. This year is was all about Phineas and Ferb!

The afternoon kicked off with every chap choosing a hat that would transform him in to his alter ego for the next 2 hrs! Now if you haven’t see P&F you need to know that one of the main characters is Agent P. Agent P is a duck billed platypus who without his hat is just Perry, two boys pet, however when he dons his hat he becomes the infamous Agent P whose mission in life is to combat his arch enemy, Dr Doofenshirtz.   When Harvey and his mates put on their hats they became, Agent Silver, Agent P McMissile, Agent Pete, Agent Awesome, Agent W, Agent C and Agent Atom, and yes gents I became Agent Zee!

We had a total blast, played spy games and dined on hotdogs and ice cream (complete with snot looking lime green sauce). When the time came to take off our hats and cast aside our disguises seven little chaps and one big one, totally high on sugar and crazy from role play, collapsed on the couch and laughed out loud to an episode of the legendary P&F.

I think as my boys grow up the thing I will miss about kiddie birthday parties is that, for a few hours, I get to be a kid again!
